Typhoon Co-may, the 8th typhoon of the year, made landfall again along the coast of Fengxian District, Shanghai, at around 16:40 on July 30th. Wind speeds near the center reached level 9 at landfall. Due to the typhoon's approach, the Liberian-flagged container ship MSC Olbia was the last international vessel to depart Yangshan Deepwater Port on July 29th for typhoon shelter, signaling the start of full-scale flood and typhoon preparedness—with vessels evacuated, operations suspended, and personnel withdrawn.
