Chinese animated blockbuster Ne Zha: Demon Child Conquers the Sea, or Ne Zha 2, is scheduled for release across major streaming platforms on August 2nd. According to online platform data, the film premiered on January 29th, 2025, grossing a cumulative box office revenue of 15.446 billion yuan with 324 million admissions, making it the highest-grossing film in Chinese cinema history by both revenue and attendance. Previously, the English-language version of Ne Zha 2 was officially announced for release, set to premiere successively in the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand starting August 22nd, where it will be spectacularly presented in IMAX® and 3D formats.
