On the morning of November 30th, the Eighth Plenary Session of the Eighth Hainan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China concluded successfully in Haikou. The plenary session reviewed and approved the "Decision of the Hainan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China on Thoroughly Implementing the Important Speech of General Secretary Xi Jinping When Hearing the Report on the Construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port and Building the Hainan Free Trade Port to High Standards," the "Suggestions of the Hainan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China on Formulating the 15th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development," and the resolution of the plenary session. The session also co-opted additional members to the provincial committee. Feng Fei, Secretary of the Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, delivered a concluding speech. The plenary session called on the entire province to unite more closely around the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core, keep the leader’s instructions firmly in mind, strengthen their sense of mission and responsibility, and take steps to advance implementation, innovation and development. It urged efforts to ensure the smooth launch of special customs operations as scheduled, to plan and carry out the "15th Five-Year Plan" with high quality, and to build the Hainan Free Trade Port to high standards. The goal is to make the Hainan Free Trade Port an important gateway for China's new era of opening-up and to contribute to the Hainan chapter of Chinese modernization.
