Since the beginning of this year, Haikou Meilan International Airport has experienced rapid growth in inbound and outbound passenger traffic. As of September 1st, the Meilan Exit-Entry Border Inspection Station had inspected over 1 million passenger trips, a year-on-year increase of 16.7%, setting a new record for the same period in the airport’s history.
