Hainan Dongzhaigang National Nature Reserve, China's first established mangrove reserve, has achieved breakthroughs in mangrove conservation. The critically endangered red-flowered black mangrove, known as the "giant panda of mangroves," has now been successfully propagated to its fourth-generation seedlings.
