Recently, the HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) drug lenacapavir was officially launched in Hainan's Boao Lecheng Pilot Zone of International Medical Tourism. This marks the “simultaneous global access” of a specially authorized pharmaceutical product in Lecheng and signifies China's entry into a new era of long-acting HIV prevention with biannual dosing.
