AP-TCRC’s South China Sea Joint Field Observation Test Base Launched
The South China Sea is one of the world’s key regions for typhoon activity, posing significant risks to passing vessels and operational ships. Therefore, research on typhoons in the South China Sea is crucial for improving typhoon early warning systems. On June 24th, the launch ceremony for the South China Sea Joint Field Observation Test Base of the Asia-Pacific Typhoon Collaborative Research Center, or AP-TCRC, was held on Yongxing Island in Sansha City.
